Solemn Tides of Discontent

I feel the storm approaching
But I can’t shelter anymore
In this bay I’m slowly dying
I’ve paid the price for never leaving shore
Stuck in port without a charter
No way I could set my course
Cautious winds have brought my downfall
It’s time to cast off from remorse
No longer afraid of danger
The price of fear I can’t afford
To myself I am a stranger
From all that’s gone unexplored
I gave a wide berth from ruin
Made hesitation my routine
Forever moored in my confusion
While dreaming of a life upon the sea
